USPS 2026 Holiday Shipping Price Adjustment

The USPS has announced a temporary price adjustment for select package shipping services during the 2026 holiday season. The adjusted rates will be in effect October 4, 2026 through January 17, 2027.

  • Applies to Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select

  • Commercial increases vary based on service, zone, and package weight

  • Priority Mail and Ground Advantage increases begin at $0.40 per package for lighter packages in Zones 1–4

  • Parcel Select increases range from $0.40 to $2.35 per package

  • No other USPS products or services are affected

For SPI customers, catalogs, magazines, and other traditional mailings are not affected by this temporary adjustment. The seasonal increase applies specifically to select USPS package shipping services.

Customers most likely to see an impact are those using USPS for package shipments, particularly USPS Ground Advantage and other metered package services.
