Mark A. Schumann Listening, asking, guiding and training have enabled Schumann employees to take responsibility, thus continually improving quality and productivity. |
We start, as any quality printer must, with our employees. A unique and thorough training and continuing education program serves to reinforce the Schumann commitment to a total process control philosophy. This ensures quality awareness throughout the production cycle and the sort of conscientious attention to detail that makes for a minimum of errors. The point of all this effort is to ensure that quality is built into the process. Rather than producing substandard work and hoping quality control people will catch it, thus resulting in waste and higher expenses for the client, we institutionalize quality at every step of the process, with every job. In this way the job is done right, the first time, thus resulting in quicker service, less waste and a more economical product. Only after institutionalizing quality control in all our personnel throughout the entire production process, do we then bring in dedicated quality control personnel. These specialists monitor pressrooms, bindery, pre-press facilities, etc. They pull regular and frequent samples to evaluate, file and hold for future reference. In this way we establish, quantify and document optimum performance standards and utilize these standards to produce continuous quality improvement. Just as you strive to continuously improve your publications, we, as your printing partner, not only want to do a great printing job today, but we want to do an even better job tomorrow. Thats what continuous quality improvement and a printing partnership with Schumann Printers, Inc. is all about. More -> |
